Rotation A: Patient Research

You have been assigned a 25 year-old female patient who has been diagnosed with hepatitis.

You need to research how hepatitis affects the human body to be able to answer the following questions:

• What are the different types of hepatitis and how does one get these diseases/disorders?
• What are the organs/body parts most affected by each of these types of hepatitis?
• Overall, how do each of these types of hepatitis affect the human body?
• How are each of these types of hepatitis treated or cured?

You need to complete a works cited guide listing the sources (books, Web sites, encyclopedias...) you used to find your information. You should also list any sources you obtained pictures or graphics from. This sheet needs to be turned in at the BEGINNING of Day 3.

Homework due before Rotation B:
Prepare a brief (up to 3 minutes) public service announcement to explain why there should be more funding for hepatitis research, treatment and education. Your announcement should contain all the answers to the above questions. Make a prop/poster that will help you present your findings to the public.
