You have been assigned a 2 month-old male patient who has been diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome.

You need to research how fetal alcohol syndrome affects the human body to be able to answer the following questions:

• What is fetal alcohol syndrome?
• What are the organs/body parts most affected by fetal alcohol syndrome and how does fetal alcohol syndrome affect each of them?
• Overall, how does fetal alchohol syndrome affect the human body?
• How can fetal alcohol syndrome be treated or cured?

You need to complete a works cited guide listing the sources (books, Web sites, encyclopedias...) you used to find your information. You should also list any sources you obtained pictures or graphics from. This sheet needs to be turned in at the BEGINNING of Day 3.

Homework due before Rotation B:
Prepare a brief (up to 3 minutes) public service announcement to explain why there should be more funding for fetal alcohol treatment and education. Your announcement should contain all the answers to the above questions. Make a prop/poster that will help you present your findings to the public.
