Rotation A: Patient Research

You have been assigned a 3 year-old female patient who has been diagnosed with eczema.

You need to research how eczema affects the human body to be able to answer the following questions:

• What are the different types of eczema and how do people get them?
• What are the organs or body parts affected by each of the different types of eczema?
• Is eczema contagious?
• How can eczema be treated or cured?

You need to complete a works cited guide listing the sources (books, Web sites, encyclopedias...) you used to find your information. You should also list any sources you obtained pictures or graphics from. This sheet needs to be turned in at the BEGINNING of Day 3.

Homework due before Rotation B:
Prepare a brief (up to 3 minutes) public service announcement to explain why there should be more funding for eczema research and treatment. Your announcement should contain all the answers to the above questions. Make a prop/poster that will help you present your findings to the public.
