You have been assigned an 18 year-old female patient who has been diagnosed with an addiction to cocaine.

You need to research how cocaine addiction affects the human body to be able to answer the following questions:

• What is cocaine?
• How does cocaine affect the nervous system and its parts?
• How does cocaine affect the circulatory system and its parts?
• Overall, how does cocaine affect the human body?

You need to complete a works cited guide listing the sources (books, Web sites, encyclopedias...) you used to find your information. You should also list any sources you obtained pictures or graphics from. This sheet needs to be turned in at the BEGINNING of Day 3.

Homework due before Rotation B:
Prepare a brief (up to 3 minutes) public service announcement to express your concerns about why young people need to be educated about the dangers of cocaine. Your announcement should contain all the answers to the above questions. Make a prop/poster that will help you present your findings to the public.
