You have been assigned an 86 year-old female patient who has been diagnosed with arthritis.

You need to research how arthritis affects the human body to be able to answer the following questions:

• How does arthritis affect the joints?
• How does arthritis affect cartilage?
• How does arthritis affect bones?
• Overall, what does arthritis do to the skeletal system?

You need to complete a works cited guide listing the sources (books, Web sites, encyclopedias...) you used to find your information. You should also list any sources you obtained pictures or graphics from. This sheet needs to be turned in at the BEGINNING of Day 3.

Homework due before Rotation B:
Prepare a brief (up to 3 minutes) public service announcement to explain why there should be more funding for arthritis research and treatment. Your announcement should contain all the answers to the above questions. Make a prop/poster that will help you present your findings to the public.
